15 Items Decluttered

I made it a goal yesterday to declutter at least 15 items. Specifically, items that were not paper! Because I've done enough paper for quite some time. I needed a paper break, although in the end I did go through one file and got rid of EVERYTHING in it!

I had to go to several places to find items to declutter, but I found most of them in the shoe organizer behind our laundry room door. Several others were in the linen closet. Here is what I found:

  • Ruler
  • Protractor
  • Eye shadow
  • Blush
  • Hair rollers
  • Calculator
  • Ear bud covers (two sets)
  • Package from pens
  • Flashlight
  • Nail polish
  • Three pens
  • A ribbon
  • Plastic circle item from our outdoor table
  • Nearly empty hand sanitizer
Clearly this isn't stuff that takes up a lot of room, but it isn't necessary to keep either. I will distribute the items appropriately for the trash, donation or recycling.

Want to take on a Wednesday challenge to take a few minutes to just find 15 items you no longer need in your home? Chime in here with your results or on the Organized Friend Facebook page.

  1. I dropped off two bags of donations this morning. It was all baby and kids stuff. I donated halloween and christmas outfits, a pregnancy book, a baby carrier, bodysuits and an old jacket.
Tomorrow I might find fifteen items to trash.

    1. Great job Sarah! I like that you might look for trash to toss tomorrow. Let us know how that goes!

  2. Does it count if 13 of the items are games that I'm going to take to the trade-in shop once it reopens after it's remodel (which is being finished this week)? And that the other four items are found were only added to my take-to-goodwill pile? Well, it's not a pile, it's in a box, but still :)

    1. Yes, it counts. Some of my items are in my donation pile too! They will leave when the box gets full.
