Expect the Unexpected and More!

As we get closer to putting our home on the market and moving you need to expect the unexpected with this blog here. It is going to be on my lower priority for awhile. It doesn't mean I won't post at all, there just may be some days where a post doesn't get published. It does take time to sit and write about all this organizing stuff! And who knows I might surprise you and post everyday for a week or two and then drop off for awhile. It's going to be erratic...even missing the Wednesday 15 once in awhile as well. Thanks for understanding!

This past weekend I would have like to accomplished more but here's what I did:

  • cleaned the basement window tracks (still had contractor junk in them)
  • painted around basement windows where I caulked previously
  • finished the painting around the door jamb on the front door
  • added grout between tile and front door that was partially missing
  • bagged and boxed up recent donations and dropped them at Goodwill
  • did two loads of laundry
  • went grocery shopping
  • returned some items we decided not to keep
  • dusted my daughter's room (we agreed I'd bring it up to par and she could maintain from now on)
Today I plan to get up to date with my cleaning so I can call the realtor tomorrow and feel current if she wants to send a home stager or a photographer in the next week. See? I'm being proactive rather than reactive!

I think I also need to attend to a big pile of papers that has accumulated on my kitchen counter again. It seems to happen over and over again! Does that ever happen to you?

  1. You done loads, you definetly are being proactive. Remember and take some time to yourself too.

  2. Yes, it happens to me all the time - with the paper accumulation. First it's one thing "oh I need that in a few days" and then it's a whole pile!!

As Sarah said, make sure to take some time for yourself! You're getting a ton done, and you're definitely ahead of the curve, but don't forget to have a few moments of peace thrown in the mix as well!! :)
