March Goals

Wow! February went fast. I would say it was a success for me. I did help my husband get a lot of home preparations done. I also made pretty good use of my time, however, I could still do better. I also got rid of more things, began staging rooms to prepare our home for sale, and have items listed on eBay.

As March progresses, I expect to continue working on my time management. I need to get better at making my mornings the most productive time of my day, instead of letting them get away from me. I will also keep working to get my eBay items sold. I feel pretty confident that I will only work on this for the rest of the month. After that, some items may get donated, the others will go back into storage until after the move and relisted at a later time. The staging of rooms will continue, as I know there is much work to be done in my daughter's rooms!!

A new project I'm going to work on in the month of March is my digital files. I have so much on my computer and I think a majority of the items are no longer needed. Just yesterday, I was looking at some emails from 2012 regarding our home purchase. Most of them are not needed any longer. I know that I have many items that are on my computer but could be moved to our external hard drive. It is just a matter of taking time to get it all cleaned up. I'm actually looking forward to this task! Delete. Delete. Delete. It should be a good thing.

And as a note to myself primarily, I need to start using a different SD card for family pictures and blog pictures. I'm going to set up different folders to download them to. It will make finding pictures easier if I don't have to file through the other type to find something!

Here's to getting more organized, selling things, deleting things (digital and physical) and managing my time better! Do you have goals for the month of March?

  1. I definetly want to finish the room, although i keep saying that. As long as the bed is built and we get a mattress i'll be happy. Get rid of shredding too. I need to sort out my emails, I keep getting wedding planning emails (5 yrs later!)

    1. Definitely unsubscribe from those wedding emails! I think you have made big progress on the room so if you keep working on it you will see MORE progress. I'm also looking forward to the finished photo when the time comes. :)

  2. I've done digital clean ups somewhat regularly for a while. It's fantastic. Though it is easy to forget about things stored on the internet (like emails, for example). I try to not deal with my inbox, simply because it goes so far back, and I have gotten sucked into how ridiculous I was a few years back! But, so far as Dropbox goes, I actually search for photos in there often, so I try and keep it organized. I absolutely love Dropbox.
Another reason I have to keep my computer organized (somewhat, anyway) is because we use our PCs to stream videos to the TV, so I have to have everything that I would want to watch in one place, and keep it not giant (as in too many files, or too many folders within folders) or else it won't load properly.

    1. The downfall of most document sorting (paper or digital) is that it can lead one down paths not taken recently! I'm try to work as swiftly as possible. It's good you have a reason for keeping things organized on your computer. That is probably my problem...no real need or reason.
