Wednesday 15 - April 22, 2015

The Wednesday 15!

I'm challenging you to find 15 items you can remove from your home, preferably not just basic household trash, but if you must it can count too. Is there a penalty for not meeting the goal? Of course not. One thing is better than none, right? Is there a reward for meeting the goal. Yes, the joy of finding more space in your home for things you love. Notice how you feel letting these items go that you just don't need. Often it is a feeling of satisfaction and peace.

I found more than 15 items for this week's challenge! I did post a few of these Monday on the Organized Friends Facebook page after I did a challenge with another group to look for items in your kitchen. I then noticed my old contacts in my bathroom drawer and remembered that since we just bought new glasses for our girls that we could get rid of the old back up pairs. One pair is from when my daughter was in 7th grade and she is a senior in high school! I plan to donate these if I can find a local place to drop off. In with the glasses was my daughter's head gear. I'm sure this could have been tossed soon after she had her braces removed (four years ago?) since there would be nothing to attach it to any longer!

I know I spent less than 15 minutes finding all these things in my home. And really, I'm amazed I can find more stuff each week! Remember you can look for one item, or a car full if you are that motivated. The goal to keep getting rid of things that are no longer needed in your home. The more you work at it the easier it becomes too. And don't forget to have a plan to take the donations somewhere if that is how you are disposing of your items.
