The Wednesday 15!

I'm challenging you to find 15 items you can remove from your home, preferably not just basic household trash, but if you must it can count too. Is there a penalty for not meeting the goal? Of course not. One thing is better than none, right? Is there a reward for meeting the goal. Yes, the joy of finding more space in your home for things you love. Notice how you feel letting these items go that you just don't need. Often it is a feeling of satisfaction and peace.

For me the Wednesday 15 seems to happen over the course of the week, rather than the day before or day of. I have a big pile of things that filled a pretty large bag for today's Wednesday 15. I was helped by a few donations from my daughters! And I was able to make some decisions on some decor items. All of these items will get dropped at Goodwill by the end of the week. I'm doing a better job of getting there once or twice a month. I have found that once I make these decisions it feels more complete when I get the items out of my house.

Here is what you are seeing in that photo above:
  • flower pot
  • basket
  • three small mirros
  • tools for cracking nuts
  • spatula
  • magnetic picture frams
  • shorts
  • capris
  • workout shirt
  • blank stationary
  • square picture frame mat
  • two wash clothes
  • pencil case
  • large canvas
  • fools gold
  • set of glass boxes
  • mini dry erase board
  • part of a sponge
  • plastic cover for the recent shower curtain purchase

Our cats often like to hang out with us when we are in the storage room. They like the rug and all the smells down there. I did get those lamps stashed away and the floor is all clear. The room is ready for pictures if taken in there and showings when the time comes.

What did you declutter this week? Did you find 15 items, more or less? It all counts!

  1. If by week it goes Thursday to Wednesday, then yes! Because the closet is done! There actually wasn't a lot of stuff that went, but it's all rearranged nice, so that's a plus!
