Decluttering October: Clothes

If you are decluttering this month, I highly suggest quick action. A quick pass through of areas to see if anything jumps out at you that you just know that you no longer need. If you can't make a quick decision, just wait until next time. It's a busy time of year, we don't need to get bogged down with feelings of overwhelm. We are just looking for the obvious!

I'll be honest my decluttering pile is partially things my daughter found before she left for college in August. I also did a pass through not long ago. When I did a pass through of my closet this time,  I did find four more items to pull out, including an extra pair of shoes and a jacket I had replaced.

I bagged it all up! I'm hoping if I leave this out for a couple of days, my husband might add a few items of his as well. I will actually ask him to check his closet and drawers. I can't expect him to be a mind reader, right?

High fives to all who find something to let go before the season of bringing in new items. And even more kudos to you, if you end up spending more than a few minutes on decluttering your clothes. You are a rock star!!

Anyone have children that might need their clothes decluttered? They grow fast, and last years fall and winter items may not fit. If you can get them to spend 20 or 30 minutes trying on a few things, you will be happy to know now what needs to be replaced before that first cold snap hits.

Tell me what you have decluttered this week in the comments, or simply share on our group Facebook page, Organized Friends.
