Deep Cleaning October: Microwave And Fridge

I am using October to prepare for the holiday season. I have done a several deep cleaning tasks, decluttering and planning.  Here's a reminder of what I had on the deep cleaning list at the beginning of the month, I crossed out what has been completed.

Clean oven and stove top
Dust baseboards
Clear the cobwebs off the ceiling
Dust ceiling fans
Clean off front porch, wash the glass door
Clean out fridge and microwave

I am back at it to get the list all done. I spent about five minutes cleaning out our microwave. After the fact, I feel like this wasn't really a deep cleaning task! But I shall report it here anyway in case yours is in dire need of attention and this might motivate you.

Before, where you might be able to make out some food splatters.

After, all surfaces inside and outside were cleaned off. 

And since that took so little time...I clean out the fridge too. 

The fridge was a much bigger job than expected! 

When I lifted out the bottom shelf and drawers, I found food left behind from the previous renter (over a year ago)! Eww...

That was at least a 45 minute job, but considering what I found it was well worth the time to get it cleaned up. Here's my fridge after the very thorough cleaning: 

My final deep cleaning task is to wipe down the front door, storm door glass and sweep the front porch. I hope to have this done before the trick or treaters stop by! It's been a productive month of getting some bigger cleaning tasks done. It wasn't too overwhelming for me either, well except for the fridge surprise! What deep cleaning did you do this month?
