I'm dusting our baseboards. I will be very honest this is a task I often put off and do not particularly enjoy doing. We have lived in our current place one year this month and it has not been done once. I put it on my list this month to keep me accountable AND because it just needs to be done!
There are multiple methods for tackling this task, but I'm just using a dry microfiber cloth. No other chemicals or liquids involved.
I did put the timer on to see how much I could get finished in 15 minutes.
Most of the baseboards were not too bad. You might be able to see a little dust.
The timer went off and I had finished all but three walls of the last room of the upper level of our home. I would guess it only took another minute or minute and a half to complete those three walls.
Dust free baseboards are satisfying!
I was wiped out trying to beat the clock, all the bending and trying to move fast! I delayed the lower level to later in the day. I expect that to take me a similar amount of time to complete.
What big deep cleaning task are you taking on this week? Can you divide the time spent into a 15 minute mini mission? Any deep cleaning now will leave very little to do in the holiday months. Do what you can and focus on the important areas, such as where you will congregate with family and friends.
