Christmas Preparations Progress

I have been preparing for Christmas since the beginning of November, and I thought you might like an update of where I am in the process with less than two weeks left before the big day!

All gifts have been purchased and wrapped. This includes all the stocking stuffers! My gift wrap station is put away as well!!

Cards (just five) are addressed, stamped and mailed. The two packages I'm mailing will go out on early next week. They are also addressed and ready to go.

Nearly all of the Christmas decorations are up, including the tree. We slowly unfolded the season by decorating over about ten days time. It's been beautiful!

I have most of the cooking baking complete. All cookies are in the freezer. They thaw rather quickly, so I will just pull them out when needed. I'm saving one batch of our Raspberry Jam Thumbprint cookies to make with my daughter while she is home. She seems to always enjoy making this particular cookie! It was so helpful to have made my ingredient list early, so I was able to have the items on hand when I was ready to bake.

With so much complete, maybe you wonder what else could there possibly be left to do?

Make a meal plan for Christmas Day, to include breakfast and our main meal. I will also make a list of what needs to be bought.

Clean! Our daughters will be home from college, so I want to make sure their bedding is washed. Rooms vacuumed and dusted. I will set out clean towels and have the bathroom cleaned as well.

And I absolutely will be putting my feet up to enjoy a movie or a good book!

How are your Christmas preparations going? It's not too late to make a plan on how to tackle what you feel you must get done. It is okay to drop some things off your list if it will help you enjoy the joy of the season!
