I clean our master bathroom every week. I don't like the process of doing it, but I do like the satisfaction of having it done each week.
So let's see how much I can do in 15 minutes.
I did gather my cleaning products and cloths prior to starting the timer. And for full disclosure my husband had just cleaned all the floors before I started, so that wasn't on my list.
Timer is starting now!
I spray down the shower with cleaner, add toilet bowl cleaner to the bowl and then remove items on the counter. I use my Norwex cloths to clean the mirror. Next I spray the sinks and counters with my preferred cleaner and use the microfiber cloth to clean and then dry the surfaces. This took me 4.5 minutes.
On this day, I moved to the toilet scrubbing the inside of the bowl first. Then I wipe down the outside of the toilet from top to bottom with cleaner and a microfiber cloth. I don't think I dried it. Hmm, do I usually do that? I think I just let it air dry. This took me another 2 minutes.
The final area I wanted to complete before the timer went off was the shower and tub. I still have 8.5 minutes at this point. I proceeded to scrub down and rinse all the surfaces with a clean microfiber cloth (I didn't use the one from the toilet). This task did take me almost exactly another five minutes. The more often this is done the easier it is to clean. A shower that is neglected for weeks will very likely take much more time to clean.
Because I had three minutes remaining, I used the time to put back the items we keep on the counter as well as return my cleaning supplies to their place in the closet and toss the cleaning rags in the washer.
After all that...I still had a minute to spare.
This is going to help me during the times I want to put the cleaning off another day! I can get the basics done in 15 minutes.
As I said before, I didn't clean the floor, wash towels or rugs or do any other deep cleaning or decluttering during this time. And this was just ONE bathroom. We have two others, but they are rarely used and I had just done them three days prior to tackling our master bathroom.
Do you think you could clean a bathroom in 15 minutes? I say set a timer and find out!
