Here's two before pictures:
That drip pan is really bad. We don't use this burner too often, so not sure what happened to that drip pan, but it's bad.
Once I hit START on my timer, I filled the kitchen sink with hot soapy water. Next, I pulled all the burners out and put the drip pans in the hot water to soak. While that was happening, I wiped the white stove top surface with a soapy rag and then rinse and dried it. I also pulled the stove top up, so I could clean underneath the same way.
The drip pans really were the worst part of this job. I did my best to use my last remaining SOS pad to scrub all four of them the best I could. I had to go back over a couple of them more than once. And they are not like new in the least, but they are much, much better.
Can you see how much shiner that one drip pan is below?
If you look closely at the clock, you will see I had just one minute to go when I took this picture.
I spent the final minute scrubbing one of the actual burners that seemed to have quite a bit of oil residue on it. I didn't get it perfect either, but it is better!
Far less crud, and progress in just 15 minutes!
What did you do today in your fifteen minutes racing the clock?
