The Christmas Cleanout, another day of progress! I'm more than halfway to my goal of 20 days of decluttering efforts! This theme of 20 days has worked very well for me during this challenge.
Today's report is items from my youngest daughter's room. I actually made a list of things to ask her about in October. She is away at college and I didn't want to bother her with mundane decluttering questions. But finals are over and it was time to ask!
On the list, I was told to keep just two of the eleven items I asked about.
What you are seeing here is a moon chair, a comforter and a pile a clothes. The clothes haven't been worn at least two or three years. The pile isn't obvious, but there's a sweater, three shirts, a pair of pants, a dress, and one pair of socks.
The chair and comforter do take up some significant space in the closet, so it does feel good to let these go. I most likely will give away, but might try to sell the chair and comforter, it just depends on how much time I have. I don't want them hanging around into the new year and I know someone would like to find these for free or inexpensive at the thrift store!
Another day of the Christmas Cleanout complete. I'm really feeling the weight being lifted by finding more in this home to let go of. Tell me about your Christmas Cleanout progress in the comments or on the Organized Friends Facebook page. Keep up the great work!
