Christmas Cleanout: Day 15 of 20

I am thrilled I have had the energy to keep the momentum going on this Christmas Cleanout Challenge. It's that same energy many of us find in January wanting a clean slate. I wonder what I will do in January if I still have all of this energy?

Today, I'm sharing another closet declutter.

This is a double door pantry off of our kitchen dining area.

As you can see we use it for a lot of odd things. Food, water, and kitchen appliance storage. Recycling. A mini office. Yes, it's odd. I have the printer here as it is the best place to have it hidden and close to a plug that is just outside of the closet. And when you have a printer it becomes a mini office, complete with shredder!

Let's start with the easiest...shred all the receipts from November.

Bag up all the recycling. And find some things to trash.

I found over 20 additional pieces of paper to recycle from a few file folders. All the items below, were selected to be relocated to other areas of the house. I'm particularly happy to have moved the binders to other areas.

Not a lot, but it's improved. Taking the effort regularly in highly used closets like this keeps the clutter at a minimum and easier to deal with.

Do you store your printer or an air mattress in the closet? I need to find a better place for the air mattress, trying to keep it out of the hot humid garage and there is no logical place to me in the house that it goes! Maybe the right idea will come to me soon.

How is your Christmas Cleanout going? If not yet, motivated, maybe just one small closet or drawer will get you inspired! Share in the comments or in the Organized Friends Facebook group.
